Polina Khachkova
Polina was born in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, and started studying piano at the age
of 7. After graduating from the Mussorgsky Music College, she started working as
an accompanist and a piano teacher in a Music school for children. Later on, Polina
gained her Master's degree in Music Education at Herzen State Pedagogical
University of Russia.
Polina took part in various festivals and competitions as an accompanist to string,
woodwind and brass instruments and performed in all of the important concert halls
in Saint-Petersburg.
As a member of Youth Chamber Orchestra she performed in Germany, Belgium and
France playing the basso continuo part on the organ and the harpsichord.
Polina has been teaching the piano in the Middle East since 2020. She worked at Sultan
Qaboos University in Muscat, Oman and American School of Dubai.
Polina believes that Music Education is very important for people of all ages because
it encourages multitasking, develops creative, analytical and communicative skills, which help
students to succeed in life even if they don't choose to be professional musicians.
She also believes that music enriches people's lives with new emotions
and is also lots of fun!
