Maria Fernanda Garcia is a musician and educator from Colombia. She studied voice technique piano and the flute from a young age and went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Musical Pedagogy at the National Pedagogic University in Colombia. Maria also completed her PGCEi program at John's Moores University.

As well as being part of the national opera scene and singing in the philharminic choirs in Colombia, Maria also has experince with Latin bands performing as a soloist since she was captivated by the diverse styles of Latin popular music, such as jazz, bossa nova, and salsa.

Maria has experience working in a variety of Colombian educational institutions, with a focus on teaching music to students of all ages and since relocating to Dubai in 2007, she has worked as a vocal, piano, and flute instructor at the Popular Music Institute and a teacher at GEMS schools in the region, preparing students for different exam boards such as the London College of Music, ABRSM, and Trinity.

She joined Centre for Musical Arts In 2022.
